How to delete Facebook account

To delete your Facebook account, click your profile picture > Settings and privacy > Settings > Accounts Center > Personal details > Account ownership and control > Deactivation or deletion. Select your account, choose Delete account, and follow the prompts. Facebook permanently deletes your data after 30 days. To save a copy of your data first, go to Settings > Accounts Center > Your information and permissions > Download your information. You can also deactivate your account temporarily, which hides your profile but keeps your data. You cannot recover a deleted account after the 30-day grace period.
