How to recall an email in Outlook

To recall an email in Outlook, open the Sent Items folder, double-click the message to open it in a new window, click Message > Actions > Recall This Message, choose Delete unread copies or replace with a new message, and click OK. Recall only works if both you and the recipient use Microsoft Exchange or Office 365 in the same organization, and the recipient has not opened the message yet. For Outlook on the web, click Sent Items > right-click the message > Advanced actions > Recall message. If recall fails, you can send a follow-up correction instead.
