Open WhatsApp and enter your phone number. You will receive a verification code via SMS. Enter it to log in, which will kick out the hacker. If the hacker enabled two-step verification, you will need to wait 7 days before you can log in again. Once logged in, immediately enable two-step verification with a PIN under Settings > Account > Two-step verification. Inform your contacts that your account was compromised and to be wary of suspicious messages.
